Shopping again... @ Midvalley

17.12.08, Wednesday

I had been busy writing resume for industrial training (Latihan Industri = LI) application, since I had no much idea in the format etc, it took me quite much time... in fact few weeks as I was lack of motivation to finish the task. My School of Biological Sciences USM doesn't force us to do the LI, but it would be a good way for us to adapt to the real working environment and gain more knowledge.
I had planned to apply LI at Hospital Selayang which is nearby my home. Well, depends on my luck then.

Besides busy with resume stuffs, with the critical situation of seeking new clothes for CNY, haha... I had invited Jin for shopping at Midvalley. I would be busy with activities and studies after I go back to USM, hence I must settle this matter first!

Once we arrived Midvalley at about 11.30am, we went to buy movie tickets... luckily the time was still early and hence short queue. We planned to watch The Day The Earth Stood Still. Then, we went for shopping while walking towards the real destination -- restaurant for lunch.

At 2pm, we had watched the movie... wow... Keanu Reeves is still very handsome hahaha
However, my opinion for this movie, not really nice. The technology seems ok, but there were still more rooms for the storyline to improve. It was far from my expectation towards this movie! So, I wasn't satisfied enough... never mind, it was only RM7 hehe...

Jin and I then continued our shopping spree... (more on window shopping anyway). We had almost visited all the shops with sales on clothes. We didn't shop at The Gardens by the way.

After hours of walking, I had just bought a short pants and a blouse. Jin had bought some too...
Again, besides shopping, we had taken some photos with the pretty christmas decorations at Midvalley. We had our crispy chicken of Shih Lin meal set as our dinner before leaving off at 9pm.

haha... what a long-hour shopping! It's the great ability of a woman possess huh?!

oh ya... I had my hair-cutting on Monday, and it took me the whole afternoon. It's because it was not merely hair-cutting but also with rebonding!

1U 1U 1U

14.12.08, Sunday

Again, I went to shopping mall with my family. Hmm... went to One Utama again. Wah.. I went to 1U for the 3rd time in this holiday. Of course, my main purpose to choose 1U as destination was for its Christmas decoration.

The decoration this year was not as pretty as last year's. It's more classy, with most decorated with lights but also with special poker cards; while last year's more cute.

Realizing that I had had less time to buy new clothes for the Chinese New Year in the near-end January 09, I must bought some clothes before going home! haha.... and therefore I had bought a short pant and a long pant.... my youngest brother had bought some too... oh ya, another younger brother didn't come along as he went back to college. This period was the only time we could see my daddy being so generous in buying clothes.

Hope to see the christmas decoration at The Curve and Ikano, however we had no time then.... I heard my friends said the decorations there were not bad...~~

PC Fair @ KLCC 08

12.12.08, Friday

PC Fair again stormed KLCC convention centre again from 12th to 14th December 2008. I would always like to update myself yearly with the latest prices of the hardwares and laptops etc. So, like last year, I went to PC fair haha...

In fact, I had planned to do some part-time job during this one-month semester break. One of the on-list job was PC fair promoter. Although I had applied for few positions, I failed to get any. Well, as a result I didn't work at all, and hence no income, merely output~~~ money flows out!

This time, only May wanted to accompany me to PC fair (although my dad wanted to go on Saturday too lolz). Both of us walked the whole halls, visited/passed by almost every booth. She wanted to get details about laptops suitable for graphic designs; while I actually just checked out the prices, bought mouse for my laptop, bought a pretty casing for my digital camera and helped Jin to buy ink cartridge.

The crowd that day should be less than Saturday's and Sunday's, still there's a lot of people. After visit to PC fair, both of us had our light lunch and took some photos with the christmas decoration in KLCC. Then, we started our shopping at ISETAN haha...
However, again, like the past few times, I didn't get to buy anything....

me with the tall christmas tree at KLCC.. my face is getting rounder o.O

Sunway Pyramid with S-i-x of us

10.12.08, Wednesday

That day was a great nice day! I had been longing for the gathering with 5 of my best buddies -- Ching, Hoon, Jin, May, Nee...
6 of us were studying in the same primary school, SJK (c) Desa Jaya; same secondary school, SMK Taman Ehsan until form 6.

Among 5 of them, I have known Ching and Jin for the longest period. We were studying in the same class since standard 4, until form 5! However, we had only got to know each other better during form 1 as the gang of friends we used to mix around during primary studies were no longer studying in the same school with us.
Although we didn't study in the same class during form 6, we always hang out together... and keep in touch..
Conclusion, I have known Ching and Jin for 12 years!

Next, Nee... I knew her since last few months of standard 6. I could still remember how she had approached me that time, to ask me whether she as a prefect could participate in a performance. Well, I had no idea why she asked me that question since I was not in charged in that particular event... haha... then, I found out she studied in the same class with me during form 1. Since she had no other friends there, naturally she became my best buddy who was sitting next to me in the class.
However, she then changed to the next class in form 2, and I had shared the same class with her for only One year... we were also in different class during form 6.
Nevertheless, we still managed to keep our friendship till today... hehe
Nee and I are already friends for 10 years.

May, actually I had seen her always during primary school years as we were going to school by the same bus. I'd only got to know her for real in form 1, as we were waiting the bus together, also she was my friend's friend, if not mistaken.
We didn't share the same class ever but still able to become best friends lolz. Because of her, I'd got to know Hoon as both of them were classmates during form 1.
She had become Ching and Jin's classmate during form 6.
hmm.. May and I have known each other for 9 years.

About Hoon... as mentioned, May introduced her to me at the beginning of form 2. May knew Hoon didn't have any friend known after transferring to my class, so she gave me a task to take care of her lolz. Hence, Hoon became my "neighbour" and since then she have become my best classmate and listener... we had each other as company from form 2 till form 6!
Hoon and I, 8 years of friendship... and is ongoing!

It's really hard for us to hang out together nowadays... because everyone is busy with studies... at different corners of Malaysia.
me> Ching> Hoon> Jin> May> Nee
USM> NTU> UKM> UM> UTAR> UMS
Penang> S'pore> KL> KL> KL> Sabah

me>Ching>Hoon>May>Jin>Nee

Ok, I shall return to the topic of outing that day hehe...
Since we failed to organise a few-day trip, we made it to just one-day outing. The usual "pilot Nee" was nice for keeping her promise to join us, and even be our driver of the day. I'm really happy, being able to hang out with you! She fetched 5 of us and our destination was Sunway Pyramid.
Most of us seldom went there for shopping. First programme was to sing karaoke at Red Box Sunway Pyramid. What a long time we didn't sing together... and I missed Hoon's nice singing very much! hehe...

At 2pm, we went for a game at Arcade game! hehe... we played Mario car racing. 4 players could play together, hence there were Ching, Jin, May and I. The result was Jin being the champion, I obtained the second place, May the 3rd and Ching the last xp. Hoon, as usual... didn't like to play games! While Nee had a game with May before already.

Then, we took some photos with the christmas decoration in between shopping time.

Ching>Hoon>Jin>May>Me

Jin>May>Hoon>Ching

the christmas decoration at "new wing"

photo shooting with May kept on laughing.... kekeke
we're trying to imitate the poses found in cover photo of HK drama

this time, May became the photographer instead; while I became the "actress".... well, I wasn't able to keep serious face long... but the effect was still okay I guess?... burst into laughter easily!

After shopping for hours, we left Sunway Pyramid and had our dinner together at Murni Mamak Restaurant in SS2, Petaling Jaya. This restaurant was strongly recommended by Jin, as she is now more familiar to hang out at SS2 area with her UM coursemates.

Well, you try to search Murni Mamak SS2 in googles, you will then find out lots of related results with lots of photos too! Too bad that I didn't take photo of the food we had ordered that night.
This Mamak restaurant is really different from the normal one! It's huge, besides occupying its shop, the tables could be seen along the street, in front of other shops, after those shops closed at evening/night.
It's nice to say that the boss(?) had reminded us to take good care of our bags as they might be easily snatched away, since we were sitting at the corner of the road junction.

I had ordered a Carrot special (RM5). Almost whatever you can think of, they can prepare them! What's inside the big carrot special? hehe... there were lychees, watermelon, nata de coco...and this carrot juice was ice-blended too! The same materials were found in other juice special, such as Ribena special, Watermelon special etc.
Nee had ordered the common-found-at-Mamaks Teh Tarik. Well, it's quite special too because, the tea used was of Lipton tea bag! o.O

About the food we had ordered... Spaghetti Carbonara, Mee Raja... and Roti Milo Cheese!!!! =.=" Such special food exist..., and they were indeed delicious... although some kinda weird...lolz
As with the beverage, whatever you could name it, they can prepare it! The not-so-mamak Murni mamak is also famous with its claypot lo shu fun!... nasi lemak, western food etc... really superb! And those are all delicious... according to other people who had tried them...

Take a look at this website with photos of those food!
http://food.malaysiamostwanted.com/venues/restoran-ss2-murni-mamak-pj

I have to praise one more thing, the workers who take order. The worker who took our orders did his job by just memorizing without any paper. And the food came were all correct as what we had ordered. Superb again... although there were a lot of other people who can do so, I myself certainly cannot! sigh....

I must try out more next time! and to explore more famous eating places hehe... We had a full dinner, and most of us couldn't finish the huge glass of drink...

I was really happy and cherished the hours we spent together that day. Thank you, my friends, my best buddies, my best listeners. I know we can hardly gather as a whole again... sooner, we will again busy with our studies... and works? Wish our friendship remain strong and even grow stronger! hehe

1st entry to a Casino!

9th December 2008, Tuesday

took many photos of this ride... like the sky and clouds haha... we didn't take this ride (I had tried it last time okay hehe..)

I had an one-day trip with my family to Genting Highland... no other better choice for us, still stick to Genting Highland... haha... and since the room rate is higher than normal during the whole December as peak/superpeak season, we didn't stay overnight.

my younger brother, youngest brother and dad, photo taken by me without their realization.. hehe...

In the pond nearby (from above photo), there were many fish!

The weather that day was great as it was sunny whole day long; unlike on Monday which had the whole day with rain. However, it was unwise to choose that day for having fun at Genting outdoor theme park because the crowd was still huge even though it was not a public holiday! I guess... most of the parents purposely took leave to have few-day holiday trip with their family.

We had wasted the ticket as we were lazy to wait the long queue for our turn to take the short rides; we just took few rides...

One of the ride we had taken... nice white cloud? haha...

took by brother using SE k800i, while we're queueing up for the roller coaster

while waiting to leave off... I used my new SE w660i to take this photo kekeke... 2mp camera has not bad quality in enough-light condition.

In between, we went inside the First World Hotel... hehe... guess what? I had had my 1st ever entry to Genting Highland's Casino! I've reached the legal minimum age limit, 21 years old... oh and the security guards didn't have any suspicion on me... do I look old enough? haiz...

Since both of my younger brothers were still "underaged", they went somewhere else then.... haha...

Well, at last, I had contributed RM20 to Uncle Lim for a better development of Genting Highland. Altogether, my dad, mum and I had lost about RM200 by just playing the slot machines!!!!
@@"

My dad said it would be a good lesson to learn, so he was happy although we had lost such amount of money...
Casino is a very smoky place anyhow... sometimes it's unbearable...
we can't be serious in thinking of being rich by simply gambling! It's such a BIG NO to have such thought, if you realise the probability of such luck to occur....

in 1st world hotel... with its christmas decoration...

Both wer taken by using SE k800i... 3.2mp, not bad huh...

It was not cold at Genting Highland until the evening reached with the mist came along. By that time, we took a ride of Ferris Wheel... it was really cold then!

5 of us had to take different "balloons", dad and my younger brother were in one; while mum, my youngest brother and I were in another one =x

Anyway, it was still a great trip for my family. We brought a lot of breads for lunch haha...
Before heading back home, we went to have a full dinner at Kepong Happy Food court and then went for brief shopping at Kepong Carrefour!
*3 cameras -- SE k800i (3.2mp), SE w660i (2.0mp w/o autofocus), Olympus μ830 (8.0mp) had been used in this trip.
Unless mentioned, all was taken by using olympus 8.0 mp digital camera.

with Family - The Mines

On the 7th December, Sunday, as usual I went shopping with my family. It was my 2nd time going to The Mines, and also its exhibition hall @ Malaysia International Exhibition and Convention Centre (MIECC).

That day was the last day of an exhibition held -- 第七届大马国际商品展销会,
the 7th Malaysia International Trade & Consumer Fair. We bought some food products there... some were quite cheap. and wow... there were so many brands of white coffee waiting us to taste on haha... at last, I begged my daddy to buy one of them xp. I like coffee hehe...

Then, we went shopping at The Mines... we rarely came here actually, except for exhibitions. By the way, we had long hours of shopping on that day, and my daddy became kinda more-than-usual generous.

nice Pavillion deco

03.12.08, Wednesday

After about one week I went to Times Square and Sg Wang, again I went there with my two ji muis Hoon and May ^^
I didn't go shopping with Hoon for a long time already!

First, we went to Sungei Wang, walked a while then we went to Pavillion. This was the first time I took a longer shopping period at this shopping mall.
Hoon and I didn't buy anything but May had bought a hair shampoo and some kind of hair repair serum (forgot what was it) from The Face Shop. Hoon had introduced us a special Sleeping Mask sold by that shop but well, it was kinda expensive to me... haha, still under consideration!
We had our lunch there, if May didn't be our guide, we wouldn't know there was a "food court" with many food stalls and restaurants at the basement (ground floor? ha, forgot already...).

Home, 家...

hehe... special? Can you identify us?

the 3 of us... May, Me, Hoon... suddenly saw a mirror when we passed by a shop.. May thought that we looked slimmer in this image lolz

May+Hoon... with nice background, found at one of the isolated(?) corner in Pavillion (we're more of taking photo than shopping? haha)

Before proceeding to Sg. Wang, we took photos with the Christmas decoration at Pavillion! hehe... the decorations here were still very nice, the "quality" was quite high lolz.

took this from inside Pavillion, similar to last year, the christmas trees were white in colour.

Hoon and I~

The decoration for Christmas at Sungei Wang wasn't as attractive as in Pavillion. We didn't take any photo there...
and well, the same old christmas tree appeared in Times Square, like last year's, saved money huh?

At the end, Hoon and I didn't buy any cloth... anyway, it was a good outing with best friends~
