PENANG trip (Day 2)

9th December 2005
The first destination of day 2 was Kek Lok Si Temple.
*okay, we 4 (Khoo, SY, Jin, me) had waited for half hour again ... it's a habit now!.. pif*
*some of them (most of the outsiders +..) didn't follow us but they went to the beach...*
We reached there at 10am and four of us were quite hungry.
Although we were given only 1 hour, but we still went to have our breakfast.
At first Khoo wanted to bring us to eat Asam Laksa at the most delicious stall, but unfortunately it was not opened.
Then, we went to eat at the restaurant near the entrance to Kek Lok Si which is famous with its Char Koay Teow but I ordered Asam Laksa..hmm.. the asam laksa in KL is more spicy lar...
By the way, the price of food is quite cheap here...

After eating, it's time to do exercise~ We walked along the path + stairs to the temple~
Along the path, there were many stalls selling souvenirs, clothes, foods~
We took photos and bought some "amulet" from the temple made by 24k gold! I bought 3, Rabbit's, Goat's & Cow's. I also bought some necklaces with names on their pendants as gifts for my best friends.
I also bought some clothes when we were walking down the temple back to bus.
you know, it was so funny to buy things here! First, you see at the shirt you want, then the salesman/girl would tell you the price, then if you don't want to buy, she/he would ask you, "what price do you want?" or he/she would reduce the price automatically~
when you walk away, he/she would drop the price to lower and lower to attract you to buy~

The next destination was Komtar. They all were having their lunch there, while we were already full so we just went for window shopping in this shopping complex (hey, why were we shopping in shopping mall in Penang? there are many bigger shopping complexes in KL lar... lolx)

We back to the apartment at 3.15pm. The next activity was free time to beach~
Jin & I went to the beach at about 4.30pm after preparation... Jin was so regret that she rejected the invitation to ride the horse! She hope she could meet it today...
and yeah, we met the horse, not a horse but horses!
so, as she wished, we did ride the horse free of charge (because they were employed by the hotels along the beach to entertain the tourists) (hehe, although we were not staying in those hotels huh... but we were tourists =p)
she rode "black ranger" which was 5 years old; while I rode "Black Boy" which was 10+ years old.
and of course, we took photos too .. hehe, can show off!

We met the big gang at the beach then but they were going to swimming pool of our apartment.
Jin went back to the apartment while I followed them to swimming pool.
There were only three girls (nee, Fadzil's sis & I), while others were all guys.....
yeah... it's nice to swim in swimming pool (swim? more to play with water lar.. haha) (I know how to swim, but I'm not really can swim..) but it was so cold... ~.~ most of us were shivering.....

At 8pm, we went to Gurney Drive to search for delicious food~~ yummy...
but, we (the same 4 people again...) went to the wrong way, we went to the old place which had been ruined by Tsunami last time...
Then, I called my net friend, Zoez who was staying in Penang to ask for direction. And we also purposely met our another net friend, Gareth at Gurney Plaza, we walked together to the new Hawker Stalls at Tanjung Bunga.
*aiks... it's so bad that I didn't have chance to meet Zoez~ *
We had ordered so many types of food... haha... share share eat ler.... nice!

*Jin & I didn't have any activity in night... sad lar... while others were playing so crazily...sigh*
*we watched few movies in the bus*
*we were divided into many groups automatically... luckily, Jin & I still can be counted as those people kept trying to mix with other gang... if not, we both would be super lonely ler....*
